From CD burning to Internet-TV platform
development
The ArtVoice group was founded in 1989. With Ingo Wolf, the
founder, coming from the music business audio licence trading
was one column to start with. In parallel ArtVoice started with
IT business developing internet appearances which lead to development
of online applications in the mid nineties. Particular attention
was turned to the integration of licence right aspects into
online applications. On customer’s request video production
was added to ArtVoice’s portfolio.
The combination of video and online services resulted in the
idea to design a platform for Internet-TV. This was first established
to provide television services in Germany. The grant of a patent
on the operation of 24/7 programs over IP has been another important
milestone.
Worldwide Internet-TV
To foster the focus on the Internet-TV platform business GRID-TV
was founded out of the ArtVoice group in 2004. The Internet-TV
platform copyrights and the said patent went into the new
company. The first task for GRID-TV was the design and development
of a technology providing an architecture for global Internet-TV
operation which was achieved with the release of File Load
Balancing neuronal net in 2005. Equipped with the right software
GRID-TV targets the worldwide establishment of Internet-TV
networks.
